A serious case related to Hiba Rana, daughter of late poet Munawwar Rana, has come to light in Lucknow. Hiba has accused her husband of giving triple talaq after 12 years of marriage and of dowry harassment, physical harassment and threats. According to her complaint, Hiba faced repeated abuses with demands of ₹20 lakh and a plot of land. In April 2025, her husband allegedly pronounced triple talaq and threw her out of the house. Her sister reportedly faced abuse while trying to intervene. A case has been registered against her husband and father-in-law under relevant sections at Saadatganj police station. The police are currently investigating, examining evidence and recording statements.
