Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia is ready to provide “uninterrupted shipments” of fuel to India as Delhi faces pressure from US President Donald Trump to stop buying oil from Moscow. Putin made the comments during a joint media briefing with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to India. The US imposed an additional 25% tariff on India’s purchases of Russian oil, arguing it was funding Moscow’s war in Ukraine However, Putin and Modi struck new cooperation agreements that were signed before the briefing. The visit comes against the backdrop of US efforts to broker peace, but Putin warned again on Thursday that Ukraine would have to withdraw from the Donbass region or Russia would seize it.
